THE MOTOR INDUSTRY IN LORRAINE the second largest area of regional investment
Launched in the early seventies on the basis of two establishments belonging to the PEUGEOT CITROËN group (Europe's leading diesel engine manufacturer), the motor industry has taken on a predominant role in the region's industrial landscape.Many of the big names are choosing to move here, following the example set by Kaiser, Evobus or Daimler-Chrysler with the creation of the Smart France site, a project which symbolises the attractions of the Lorraine region.
