Energy Summit in Malmö

The WTC network organized last september an energy seminar in Malmö, Sweden and ADIELOR was pleased to take part in the happening. Just as the name indicates, this seminar was dedicated to energy, and more particularly renewable energies.

People coming from different parts of Europe had the opportunity to discover the brand new WTC building in Malmö. This building, the first of its kind, is the world's most energy efficient glass building. Almost every trade involved in the construction of the building was invited to explain their techniques, often very innovative and always highly energy-efficient.

Thanks to MIDROC ENGINEERING, we all learned about building design, using mostly exclusively renewable energy. Olle Andersson from the university in Lund shared every possible secret about geothermy with us and explained why IKEA chose geothermal systems for their recent constructions.

Among the other contributors, there was FAGERHULT - specialising in lighting solutions, KABONA – champion of green control systems combining heating, ventilation and cooling, LINDAB and LINDINVENT - both actors in intelligent ventilation, PRECONAL FASAD -  Northern Europe's leader in fenestration, curtain walling, facades, window systems, aluminium and steel doors, fire and security products, atria, structural glazing and glass processing, SEEC "Down to Earth Energy Solutions "- who markets, sells or leases energy stores with energy modules for large buildings, WSP – consultancy delivering solutions on energy supply, clean energy production and climate change...
Furthermore, Malmö is the city with the largest area of PV and solar thermal installations in Sweden. Solar City Malmö has been started in order to increase the use of locally generated solar power and support the development of the solor energy industry. Anna Cornander gave a very interesting and highly informative presentation on ongoing and achieved projects.

SEGA PARK , the largest and most spectacular photovoltaic site of Sweden was inaugurated the summer 2007.  It's maximum production reached 166kW thanks to the 1 250m2 of photovoltaic panels.
